The Trafford Centre 

The Trafford Centre is a great place for families with kids of all ages. From the Legoland Discovery Centre to the Namco Funscape, there are so many different things to do. With hundreds of shops, the iconic Orient food court, and tons of family attractions to visit, you will not be bored during this six-week holiday. 

Manchester Museum

 The Manchester Museum is a great place for kids to enjoy walking through history this summer. After a huge refurbishment that took a year and a half to complete and cost £15m to develop, this museum is a must-visit for curious kids who want to learn something new or want to participate in fun activities. 

Science and Industry Museum (M.O.S.I) 

The next place to add to your 2023 bucket list is the Museum of Science and Industry. Another one of Manchester’s hidden treasures packed full of historical artefacts, the MOSI has a calendar filled with many exciting activities for children of all ages. From the monthly Experitots event for toddlers to Power Up which is an exclusive event that takes place on the Weekends during the holidays where you can take gaming to the next level. 

Football Stadium Tours 

Are your family footy fans? Well, this next recommendation is perfect for you. Manchester United and Manchester City host frequent stadium and museum tours where you can take a look around the stadium, discover the history behind them, and even snap a photo with some of the player’s jerseys! Backyard Cinema 

Backyard Cinema is a pop-up cinema that transforms outdoor spaces into unique and memorable film experiences. Their Manchester venue is located at Depot Mayfield, a former railway depot that has been converted into a creative hub. The cinema features a giant screen, beanbag seating, and a bar serving drinks and snacks. Backyard Cinema shows a variety of films, from classic movies to new releases. Speed of Sight funday 

Speed of Sight is a charity that provides driving experiences for people with sight loss. 

Their fun day at Three Sisters Raceway on August 14th is a great opportunity for people of all ages with sight loss to experience the thrill of driving a race car. The day will start with a welcome from Speed of Sight staff and volunteers. Participants will then have the chance to meet their instructors and learn about the cars they will be driving. After a safety briefing, it will be time to get behind the wheel In addition to the driving experience, there will be a variety of other activities on offer at the fun day, including: • A bouncy castle • A tombola • A barbecue • A bar The fun day is a great opportunity for people with sight loss to have fun, socialise, and experience the thrill of driving a race car.
